What an AI Server Costs vs. What Cloud AI Keeps Charging

Cloud AI never stops charging you. A server you own charges you once. This page puts the two side by side with real shapes — a flat one-time build against a line that climbs every month a vendor bills your team. We lead with the break-even, not the sticker, because the month those lines cross is the number that actually matters.

Start with the break-even, not the price tag

A cloud AI plan at $25/seat/month for a 10-person team is $3,000/year — about $9,000 over three years, and it never stops. A server that runs the same models is a one-time number, and then it’s just… yours. Most owners cross the break-even line faster than they expect.

Starting prices reflect current 2026 market costs and are representative — your final price is quote-based and sized to your build. Contact us for exact numbers tuned to your team and the models you want to run.

Own a TIS AI Server vs. Cloud AI Subscription

The whole argument in one table — what changes when you own the hardware instead of renting it by the seat.

Pricing questions

How is a one-time price cheaper than a monthly subscription?+

A subscription bills you every month for as long as you use it — and the bill grows with every seat and every price hike. A server is a single number paid once. After the break-even month, you’re running the same kind of models for nothing but power, while the subscription keeps charging forever.

What’s NOT included in the build price?+

The build price covers the server hardware, configured and ready to run your models. On-site install, team training, and an ongoing support plan are listed as optional add-ons — useful, but never required to own the machine. We show them separately so there are no surprises on the invoice.

How fast do most businesses break even?+

It depends on your team size and what you’re paying per seat today, but most owners cross the break-even line faster than they expect — often well inside the first year once a few people are using AI daily. We put your real numbers side by side before you commit to anything.

Why a custom quote instead of a fixed cart price?+

AI server builds are spec-dependent — the right GPU, memory, and storage change with the models you run and the size of your team. A fixed cart price would mean overselling some businesses and undersizing others. A quote lets us size it to what you actually need, and lock the number before any build starts.
